Direct Inward Investment in Occitanie

Review of Direct Inward Investment for 2016 in Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée

Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée, 2nd placed region for inward investment projects in France, in 2016

On 21st March 2017, Business France published the results of a review of foreign investments in France in which the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée was the second-most popular region for job-creating, inward investment projects in France.

Each year, Business France liaises with Invest Sud de France and Madeeli, the economic development agencies for the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, which carry out an audit on all inward investment projects that generate or safeguard jobs in the region.

“These findings once again confirm our region’s considerable appeal. It’s no surprise for our sectors of excellence and our environment which are particularly conducive to innovation and R&D. These results reward the work of our development agencies and the quality of partnerships within the region that provide a home for these projects. We still have huge potential and our firm ambition is to be the France’s top region in the coming years”, declared Carole Delga, President of Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Regional Council.
